"Great videos, smart and full of info" Carlodi
"Love your show and your ability to properly present the features of phone technology. It is obvious you have a long history with Mobile technology and understand the devices very well and know how to utilise the technology to it’s fullest, even pushing the boundaries." Mark Grimwood
"I love your show, your practical approach to reviewing smartphones with an emphasis on how they will work in the real world is a breath of fresh air from all the hype surrounding the release of most new phones" John Donellan
"I based my latest phone purchase upon your review... the greatest show on the Internet. Keep up the great work" Andreas Hellqvist
"Just watched show 44. OMG, it was excellent, very professional and exquisite. Hope I'll see you at BBC TV" Horia Stanescu
"The most honest, cut-to-the-chase, easy to watch/listen to show anywhere. You home in on the key details" Dave Dyer
"Ah, if only I could find a man to love me the way Steve Litchfield loves his phones...." Jo Laurence, PodFinder UK, Show 17
"You sound like James Bond and, with those gadgets, make him look outdated" Benjamin D
"I can't believe how good the video quality is - it looks more like it was shot with an expensive video camera than a pocketable smartphone" Steve Clack, Palmtop magazine
"I am impressed with how you show functions and figures, and how you shine light on all these great and (some not so great) products" James Muir
"The most credible person on YouTube as far as phone specs go" C Solomon

the Smartphones ShowLatest show - No. 64, here - available in low and now high resolution YouTube and MP4 versions.

Upcoming: Show 65 will have a full review of either the Samsung INNOV8 or the Nokia N96, both absolute top-end flagships (depends which gets here first!). Plus a comparison of the third party application scene in the worlds of Symbian, Windows Mobile, Android and iPhone and a hands-on review of a High Street iPhone-alternative.

Does your company want to sponsor the Smartphones Show or advertise on it?

Latest audited stats - Peak: July 2007: 89,728 (views in a month) - Total show viewings in 2007: 609,000 [well over half a million!] - Viewings so far in 2008: over 180,000. (Stats include both MP4 downloads and YouTube streamed views)

"Who's it for?"

Anyone who's either just purchased or is about to purchase a smartphone - this isn't supposed to be TV for uber-geeks or programmers, it's more 'all about smartphones for the rest of us'.

the Smartphones Show"What do I need to play the Smartphones Show?"

A Windows desktop or a Mac or an iPod or a PSP or a smartphone. So that's just about everybody sorted then!

"Shot ON a smartphone? Really?"

Yes, 99% of the Smartphones Show is shot (video and stills) on a Nokia N93, a Symbian OS-powered smartphone. I wanted to demonstrate how powerful some of these modern devices are in terms of multimedia creation. The Show is the proof....

"Your Show has helped me, how can I help you?"

In several ways: by spreading the word to your friends and colleagues; by linking to the Smartphones Show (use http://3lib.ukonline.co.uk/sshow/) from your blog or web page; and by making a small donation to help keep the show going.

"Your older shows seem to need Quicktime"

Yes, for shows older than 43 I embedded the MP4 into the show page instead of the YouTube version. Most PCs and Macs could handle this because Quicktime Player is a free plug-in. But I've switched to YouTube embedding because it's even more foolproof. If you're trying to play an old show and it's not working, make sure you have the latest Quicktime etc. The MP4 file is still there behind the scenes, for the majority of viewers who grab the show via RSS (e.g. in iTunes).
