Tips
- When heading for the park, take along
sellotape, a small screwdriver and a penknife. From minor adjustments to
repairing crash damage, it's best to be prepared and not have to trudge all the
way back home each time!
- Don't attempt to fly these lightweight foam
and plastic RTF aircraft in anything other than still air and light
breezes. They get thrown around by any kind of wind and you will
lose control!
- Don't let children fly your plane(s) unless
you're happy for them to be crashed. Even with pusher-based RTF planes,
it's still far too easy to crash!
- When trying to come down gently,
don't just cut off the power and hope the crash isn't too bad. Try to ease off
the power or even pulse it, to stagger the descent.
- With pusher-driven planes, watch your
fingers when launching. I speak from painful experience!
- As the instructions always say, find a big
enough space, otherwise you will end up in a tree or crashing
into something or someone!
