Updated Sept 2006

Welcome to 'Ready To Fly', a mini-site dedicated to radio controlled aeroplanes that don't need months of workshop concentration in order to get ready. Yes, I know that assembling r/c planes is half the 'fun', but for the average working or family man, there just aren't enough hours in the day to do all the hard work. Hence, 'Ready To Fly' (RTF) - if the planes on these pages take more than 5 minutes from opening the box to being ready to go (excluding charging), then they're not covered.

In real life, of course, you'll have to wait while the various battery packs charge up, but the plane itself will be good to go. And, apart from the battery wait, you'll be able to get in the air with an absolute minimum of fuss.

In these pages are a brief directory of popular RTF radio-controlled planes, reviews of any that I (or my readers) have tried personally, tips on what to look for, and what not to do, a gallery of images and videos, plus links to other useful sites.
