Review: Magic Made Fun

Score: 77

Magic Made Fun pretty much 'does what it says on the tin'. OK, we're not talking about taking you to Magician's Circle level or keeping you occupied for dozens of hours, but within its remit this is a very competent new way to use your DS.

Magic Made Fun

The idea is to show you tricks on the DS, to teach you how to do tricks with the DS (using displays on its screen) and to help you learn some simple card tricks using the supplied (rigged) pack.

And, with the aid of a variety of graphics of varying style and quality, this is exactly what it does. Within a couple of hours you'll be trying most of the tricks out on your family and eliciting the right 'ooh's and 'aaah's.

The only problem is that the number of tricks available is low, 14 if you count the lot. The content is spun out slightly by some of the tricks having to be unlocked by successfully completing previous tricks and having to wait until the next calendar day.

But for a 8 to 14 year old boy or girl who's interested in starting out with magic, this is as good an introduction as any.
