Review: Cake Mania

Eeek, not another cooking game! Actually, it's nothing whatsoever like Cooking Mama, which is just as well, since it'd be unlikely to improve on the latter. Cake Mania is more a puzzle game for adults than a cute cooking trainer for kids.
Cake Mania is essentially a numbers-based simulation, all dressed up in girly graphics. You manage a cake shop (duh) and have to make the cakes that customers come in to order.
You've got to do it right though, else they'll not buy the product and then the pastry gets binned and you'll end up out of pocket. As you get to each 'level', you'll tasked with making more and more money and the level of chaos in the kitchen increases and keeps on increasing.
My problem with all this is that it all seems a bit too much like work and not enough like fun. Isn't rushing around like crazy to make quotas what we all do to earn a living? There are no mini-games or real variations here, just cake-making to order, over and over and over again.
Cake Mania's not a bad game, it's just not my cup of tea.
